After the cemetery around the old church near the castle fell into disuse, a new cemetery was created in 1857 on the Ruelle des Mottes, sheltered from the floods of the Mehaigne. It contains several remarkable funerary monuments, including two chapels that testify to the presence of important families in the village of Avin.

The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption (Église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption) on the Rue de l'Église has a Romanesque tower from the 12th century. The neo-Gothic nave is from 1864.

The Château d'Avin, dates from the 18th -19th century. A long driveway leads to the castle surrounded by an English park with a number of special trees. The Saint Martin Church (Église Saint-Martin) is a neoclassical church building from 1843. An 18th-century copy of a painting by Anthony van Dyck hangs in the church.
