The Schiptrekkersbrug (Ship Tractors Bridge) spans the Dender River between Denderleeuw and Liedekerke, and is part of the Schiptrekkers cycling route. The bridge is named after the people who used to pull ships across the river using ropes and horses. It was a hard and impoverished profession, also performed by women and children. The Schiptrekkersbrug is a tribute to these people, who played an important role in the region's history. A heritage plaque on the bridge tells their story.

The Affligem Abbey Museum is an important cultural heritage site that highlights the history of the abbey and the region. The museum is open to the public every Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM and offers free admission. Visitors can admire archaeological finds and historical artefacts that testify to the long and rich history of the abbey, which dates back to its foundation around 1062. The museum also displays the results of excavations in the abbey garden, including ceramics, tools and remains of the oldest Romanesque stone church.
