The gravel pit is a rich site for photography enthusiasts or walkers who wish to stroll along well-maintained paths and observe birds in peace. It's a recommended spot for walkers and photographers. Please respect the guidelines, such as keeping your dog on a leash (even if some people think it's harmless to let their dog off-leash, be aware that animals have predatory instincts, which could scare away certain ground-nesting bird species like kingfishers) and refraining from swimming so as not to disturb the birds. A castle built as a country retreat between 1717 and 1727 in the Louis XIVth style, then popular in the Meuse Valley, belonged to the Church of Liège. A fortress existed on the same site as early as 900. The estate also features a French-style garden with corner towers, and adjacent to the castle is the limestone castle farm. Now privately owned and in need of renovation.

Beautiful castle with moat in the limestone of the region from the 13th century. It was long the property of Charles the Bold.

Aigremont Castle is a private castle owned by the Dumont Wauthier company. The Flémalle Tourist Office offers guided tours between April and October. Please visit the website www.flemalle.be for upcoming dates.
