The stone ramparts and green slopes of the Citadel stand out sharply against the sky, making for an atmospheric and photogenic picture. Crupet Castle is a fortified farm surrounded by a moat, dating from the 11th or 12th century. There you will find a majestic keep, an overhanging upstairs tower, and various buildings which form the lower courtyard. The castle was the property of the prince-bishop of Liège, then of the noble family of Carondelet. Today it is a private residence, but you can admire its architecture and history from the outside. The castle is located in the picturesque village of Crupet, in the green Condroz valley, where you can also take beautiful walks. Crupet Castle is a hidden gem that will transport you to the Middle Ages.
