Here the Vliet is still a narrow, almost completely overgrown stream. It flows in the direction of the Hemiksem Abbey where it will flow into the Scheldt.

Square water castle with trapezoidal farmyard on the north side. The Geitepad is a nice narrow gravel path that follows the Kleine Struisbeek route.

Groeningenhof Castle has its origins in the 16th century. The original medieval castle, hidden in the green landscaped park, took its current form at the end of the 19th century. Today you can only admire the picturesque outbuildings through the adjacent stately avenues. With a bit of luck, depending on the season, you might catch a glimpse of the Dovecote or Castle Tower. Still, it's worth pedaling slower here and enjoying the Groenigerhof landscape park.
