Wonderful place where the water forms caves (accessible with caution) and waterfalls. The latter are in constant rapid formation: in fact the minerals dissolved in the water allow the waterfalls themselves to 'lengthen' and increase the majesty of the waterfall itself.

The Rio di Gea flows through a wild valley near Castel d'Aiano, creating waterfalls and pools between boulders and rock walls. Its course feeds the Orrido di Gea, a pristine natural environment, characterized by the spontaneous growth of the rare watercress (Nasturtium officinale), known for its nutritional properties. Along the path that goes from Villa d'Aiano to Montese, you can still see the remains of ancient water mills, once fundamental to the local community.

Very pleasant route immersed in the woods, it does not require particular attention.

Strategically located under the steep walls of Mount Cappel Buso, the Mulino della Piastra is an example of adaptation: initially a mill, now a hydroelectric power station that exploits the constant waters of the Dardagna stream. The Little Cassia passes through here.
