Always beautiful on the Thur 🌊

The Husemersee is surrounded by nature and a popular destination for hiking enthusiasts. A special highlight on the route is the picturesque wooden bridge that leads past the lake. From here you have a breathtaking view of the sparkling water. The bridge is not only a great vantage point, but also a perfect place to take a short break and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Whether for a relaxed hike or a short detour - the Husemersee with its charming bridge is always worth a visit!

From this vantage point with a bench under the tree you not only have a wonderful view over the southern wine country and towards Germany, but if you have enough visibility you can also see the Alps.

Beautiful natural bathing lake surrounded by forest

You cross the Thur near Gütighausen and Ossingen via a steel truss bridge. It replaces the original wooden bridge that collapsed in 1880. As part of the new building, it was extended to give the Thur more space and thus protect the surrounding area from flooding.
