Da Nang boasts three pagodas named Linh Ung, forming a "spiritual triangle" believed to protect the city. The most famous is the pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula, home to the iconic Lady Buddha statue. The Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula (Bai But) is the largest and most visited of the three. The other two are located in Bad Na Hills and the Marble Mountains. Admission: Free. Opening hours: Daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM [3].

The Lady Buddha statue in Da Nang, at 67 meters, is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam. Located within the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain), it is a popular, free landmark. It represents the goddess of compassion, protects fishermen, and offers spectacular views of the sea and the city. It symbolizes protection and compassion. The right hand is raised in the Abhaya Mudra (protective gesture), while the left holds a vase of holy water. The statue stands atop a large lotus blossom, 35 meters in diameter, and contains 17 levels within. The beautiful Linh Ung Pagoda surrounds the statue.

Known as "China Beach" during the Vietnam War, it is now a clean, easily accessible city beach with numerous restaurants, resorts, and cafes nearby, all just about 3 km from Da Nang's city center.

Entrance to the Botanical Garden. Ticket costs 40k VND per person + 5k VND for a motorcycle parking space. There used to be two tours through the park, but now there is only one. Duration approx. 2-2.5 hours, if you take time to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. "Park" is actually the wrong word here. It is more of a safe jungle path. It is well signposted, but still so far over hill and dale and winding jungle paths that you feel like the Vietcong or the GIs in the Vietnam War. Be sure to apply mosquito spray.
