Historic building, worth a visit

The Watch Tower of San Fili - close to the castle of San Fili - was purchased in 1721 by Giuseppe Lamberti, after the construction of the "casino".

The Castle of San Fili, also known as the casino of San Fili, is located in Stignano, Calabria. Built at the beginning of the 18th century by the Lamberti family, the baroque work, designed by Vincenzo Lamberti, reflects elements of military architecture. The building, with a triangular layout and towers at the corners, was originally built for representation and observation of the surrounding area, especially towards the sea. Today, it is under the protection of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

Marina di Gioiosa Ionica is nestled on the Ionian coast of Locride, known as the jasmine coast. Its history is deeply linked to Gioiosa Ionica, becoming an autonomous municipality in 1948.
