The Sacred Thorn, venerated in the sanctuary of Petilia Policastro in Calabria, is a relic traditionally believed to be part of Jesus' crown of thorns.

Mesoraca, located in the province of Crotone, Calabria, is known for its rich history dating back to the Oenotri. The territory boasts the Sanctuary of the SS. Ecce Homo, and was the scene of important events during the Risorgimento. Its culture is enriched by ancient abbeys and historical legends.

Petilia Policastro (also known as Policastro Calabro) is a small town located in the province of Crotone, probably of Byzantine origin. Among the places of interest, the Karst Caves, the Basilian Caves of San Demetrio and the Sanctuary of the Sacred Thorn stand out.

If you are cycling through the city and don't know much about Caccuri, the castle is sure to catch your eye immediately. Caccuri is a charming village, a fantastic place that deserves a visit.

A quiet lake in Sila where you can relax in the summer or enjoy the surrounding paths. The lakeside road is very quiet.
