Everyone has a little piece of earth where they can find peace, unwind, and let their mind wander. Just sitting, stretching their legs, and letting their soul drift. A place of delight for the eyes and ears. This is my personal favorite spot on this hike. And what's yours?

The bench is officially called Thesi's Bench. But that doesn't detract from its beauty and is just a minor detail. The view is what makes it the perfect vantage point.

The property features an open barbecue area and a fireplace. There is also a clean but basic toilet facility. Parking is available directly in front of the cabin.

The Thanwald cabin features an open barbecue area and a fireplace. It also has its own toilet. Numerous seating options and large tables offer plenty of space for games, fun, and leisure. It is easily accessible by car.

The Chutzen marks the highest point on the eleven-kilometer-long Belpberg ridge between the Aare and Gürbe valleys. Despite its modest elevation (892 meters), it offers a phenomenal 360° panoramic view – of the Bernese Alps, the Emmental, the Jura, and often as far as the Aare Valley. ✳️ Sights & Refreshments Remains of the 12th-century Hohburg Castle ruins, accessible above the path to Chutzen. Chutzen Restaurant (at 887 meters) directly at the viewpoint – regional cuisine, terrace with Alpine views, open usually Wednesday to Sunday until 10:00 p.m. Memorial stone for John F. Kennedy in memory of Hungary's desire for freedom, discreetly placed at the highest point.

The Thanwald fire pit near Rüeggisberg is ideal for a cozy rest with a panoramic view. A playground, seating, and a large log cabin offer comfort whatever the weather. Barbecues are also available for those who like. Wood and barbecue areas are available (with prior reservation). Perfect for a break in the heart of nature!

A barbecue area can be booked, or it's a nice spot for a short rest. A portable toilet is available.
