A nice place to stop to enjoy an excellent view of the Twin Lakes.

It requires a little more effort and a detour from the usual twin lakes loop route, but why not?

Border pass between Fusine and Foppolo (Bergamo). It's a pass steeped in history, with the Cadorna trenches. The road from Fusine (Valtellina) is wide and easily cycled.

From here you go down to Fusine

Pass reachable by climbing from the Gemelli Lakes or from Valcanale. The trail does not present technical difficulties but requires a minimum of physical training. The effort is then rewarded by the wonderful view it offers, in particular of the Arera group, Pizzo Farno and Monte Corte, and obviously of the lake. The pass is very wide and offers several places to stop to rest, eat and admire the landscape. The trail then continues towards the Gemelli Lakes, or towards the Mezzeno pass

Pass reachable by climbing from the paid parking lot of Roncobello. The path does not present technical difficulties but requires a minimum of physical training, the difference in altitude is about 500 - 550 m. The effort is then rewarded by the wonderful view it offers, in particular of the Arera group. The pass is very wide and offers several points where you can stop to rest, eat and admire the landscape. The path then continues towards the twin lakes, or towards the Laghi Gemelli pass

I pass through the heart of the Orobie that separates Valtellina from Bergamo. As always, the views it offers are spectacular. The path to reach it is easy and without pitfalls
