Beautiful cycle paths with varied routes in safety with dirt sections better with MTB or Gravel

Thanks to its location between mountain and lake, its village center with its many arcades, its churches and chapels, and a park that is like a small paradise, Morcote deserves the title “Pearl of Ceresio”. It lies on the southern nose of the Arbostora peninsula. Once a fishing village, it soon became a popular place for artists and celebrities; magnificent buildings such as the Palazzo Paleari with its stucco facade or the Torre del Capitano bear witness to these times. Also known is the “monumental staircase”, which leads up around 400 steps to Santa Maria del Sasso - another must for Morcote visitors - from where there is a magnificent view. The adjacent cemetery is also in an enviable location and is considered an outstanding example of sacred funerary art. Morcote's exotic attraction is called “Parco Scherrer”. Subtropical vegetation and works of art from distant countries transport visitors to another world.

Near Bodio Lomnago there is this place from where it is possible to admire one of the many panoramic points offered by the beautiful cycle path of Lake Varese.

Narrow street with a couple of blind curves. Pay attention not to make fast and rapid bends... possible presence of pedestrians or cyclists in the opposite direction!

Beach along the Varese lake cycle path. There are several bars/restaurants. The walkway on the lake near the children's playground is nice.

Comfortable, fun and very safe for cycling along the entire perimeter of the lake.

Beautiful but dangerous, at the end of May after having avoided a head-on collision at a stop sign by pure chance, towards Cassinetta a cyclist took a straight turn and made me fall, resulting in 3 slightly dislocated ribs. Be careful
