With the mural that adorns part of the wall here, the artists honor an early female cyclist: Alfonsina Morini Strada (1891 to 1959). Right at the entrance to the cycle path along the Po from Boretto there is this mural dedicated to Alfonsina Morini Strada, the first and only woman to compete in the men's Giro d'Italia way back in 1924. The mural is the work of the FX Collective, created as part of a project to encourage the use of bicycles.

The church was built in the year 1716 on the orders of the Duke of Modena, Rinaldo III. The church is in excellent eighteenth-century baroque style.
