High altitude refuge also reachable by car which is an excellent starting point for various excursions

The Fauniera refuge is located just 3 km from the top of the pass, going up the Val Grana slope (Pradleves), and right next to the Colle Esischie. It coincides with a section of the pass where the slope drops to 7% after overcoming several kilometers from the Santuario di San Magno where the gradient does not fall below 9%. The refuge is very pleasant as you can read in the reviews on Google. Without a doubt, it is the best refuge on this side.

The Carbonetto refuge is located at an altitude of 1874 meters above sea level, in the Arma di Demonte Valley, gateway to the Cottian Alps, which unites the Stura, Grana and Maira valleys. The new structure of the Carbonetto refuge is completely made of wood, has a dining room that can accommodate around twenty people and three bedrooms with bunk beds for a total of 12 beds.

The Viviere refuge is located in the valley above Acceglio. It can be a stopping point to access the Gardetta plateau starting from Acceglio.
