The ancient village of Saluzzo is gorgeous. Narrow cobbled streets between historic buildings lead up to Castilla, the fortress/castle that towers over the city, a bit like the Spielberg towers over Brno (ironically). A must visit.

For over four centuries, Saluzzo was the capital of the marquisate of the same name and is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Piedmont and a bishopric. At the foot of Monviso, at the mouth of the Po, Bronda and Varaita valleys, lies the Monviso Park. Saluzzo offers its visitors a rich program of cultural and sporting events and the historic city center is definitely worth a visit, with its countless bars and restaurants offering something for everyone.

With the old town on the left, stretching up the hill and definitely worth a visit, this street leads through the lively city center, with numerous adjacent bars and cafes. On Saturday mornings you should avoid this road, at least by bike, because the weekly market takes place here, highly recommended, but on foot;)

Saluzzo is a medieval village in the Piedmont Region located at the foot of the Monviso. In addition to the characteristic historic center, the village is full of restaurants where you can taste the typical recipes of the local cuisine, famous for the "Slow Food" movement.

Municipality of 5,000 inhabitants in the province of Turin famous for its Rocca (162 meters above the plain below and 462 m above sea level), a hilly formation on the top of which stood a castle now reduced to ruins after its destruction in 1690 by the French general Nicolas de Catinat.
