Enjoy the unique charm of this landscape with its hills, valleys and springs, which are unusual for northern Germany. These scenic features were also the reason why a Premonstratensian monastery was built in the historic ring wall in 1216. All that remains of the monastery is a stone and a water mill. A walk through the forest is worthwhile: the forest nature trail provides information about the animals and plants of the forest and children can let off steam on the forest playground.
