Named after an officer, Chief of the General Staff of the 2nd Garibaldi Division, which operated in this area. While on a mission to establish contact with the Allies in France, he was captured by the Germans on August 18, 1944, and taken to Sanremo, where he was tortured for several days and finally executed on September 10, 1944, at the age of 22. A monument created by Renzo Orvieto commemorating the contribution of local peasants in the liberation struggle against the Nazi fascists. Erected in 1976 by the Badalucco Municipality together with the Institute for the History of the Resistance in Imperia. It depicts an armed partisan and a peasant standing shoulder to shoulder. At the foot of the monument are four stones recounting the successes of the local partisans, who, among other things, forced the "Nazi fascists" to surrender and established a free partisan republic. During the three days of July, the village of Mulini di Triora was plundered and burned by German soldiers as part of a reprisal. Most of the inhabitants managed to escape to the surrounding forests and villages. Thirteen people, including a 16-year-old girl, were locked in a house and burned alive. The village was almost completely destroyed.

At the Mezzaluna Pass, leave the road and go up a few meters to the right, near the sign turn left onto a narrow path and follow it into the woods, from here the path becomes more technical and through the beautiful beech forest leads to the Teglia pass, from which you can reach Molini by road.
