Spilamberto Castle Park

Beautiful route created on the banks of the Panaro river, in the San Damaso area of Modena.

Having belonged to the Rangoni marquises for over 650 years, in 2005 the fortress was purchased by the municipality of Spilamberto which began the restoration process. The first works began in 2011 and allowed the courtyard and some spaces connected to it to be restored to its ancient beauty and made usable. The new square in front of the fortress was inaugurated in 2017. The fortress is located in a park that is almost always open and perfect for walks.

A fun cycle path along the Panaro separates Vignola and Savignano. It is perfect for those who want to walk or cycle in nature. The surface is mostly dirt and along this path you can also easily see car bridges over the Panaro and the city centers on both banks of the river.

This beautiful stretch of smooth dirt road connects Panzano to Gaggio in Piano passing through the Villa Sora park. A pleasant ride, suitable for any type of training, through the countryside around Modena.

Beautiful route to do in summer, not too difficult. Made it twice and it was beautiful. For those who are fit, at the end of the cycle path on a normal road you arrive at the stones of Rocca Malatina
