Federa Lake, cradled in the heart of the Dolomites along the Alta Via n.1, is a shimmering gem that enchants hikers with its alpine beauty. Lake of glacial origin, 15 minutes from the ref. Coldai, an excellent place to have a picnic to rest and resume the journey towards the eventual Rifugio Tissi of a further 2h, where I recommend the high path on the scree because it is less tiring. (CAI path 560 variant of the Altavia)

The lake is worth visiting, it is located about 15 minutes from the ref. Coldai, deserves to make an extra effort to visit it. I recommend going past it, so as to see beyond the natural basin that forms the lake and see the valley.
