I recommend staying overnight at the refuge and waking up early to see the sunrise

Great view and food!

Very nice stop for food and drinks. Would highly recommend to have a soup.

In April, a lot of snow is still expected in some places.

We climbed up from Lake Antorno. A beautiful steep path, first through forests and then along a meadow landscape up to the hut. No shower, two toilets in the whole hut, a communal sink. Internet in front of the hut. A bit sparse in terms of sockets, but charging is free. The food was OK. The hut staff were very friendly. We had our camp right under the roof, very romantic 😂

The Città di Carpi refuge is located at the Maraia pass at 2,110 meters above sea level, in the Cadini di Misurina group. Its location offers incredible views of the Marmarole, Sorapiss, Croda dei Toni, Cristallo and Tofane.

The Fonda Savio refuge is located halfway along the Bonacossa path and intersects the Durissini path. The opening period goes from 15 June to 30 September, the structure has 20 beds and 20 bunks available.

For hikers who are not quite as fit, I recommend the chairlift ride from Lake Misurina up to this hut. If you don't want to do a long hike, you can enjoy a great view here, The Bonacossasteig, which starts here, is already difficult enough for average hikers. Steep ascents and descents on sometimes slippery or rocky passages await you. But the views and reaching the Fonda Savio hut with refreshments more than make up for it 😉
