Entry to the via ferrata on the normal route. When it snows, the rope is largely covered in snow and cannot be used. A lot of alpine experience in climbing steep snow slopes and alpine equipment is then indispensable!

Refuge and lifts were completely devastated by the avalanche that occurred in December 2020, luckily without victims: crossing point of the normal route at Punta Penia della Marmolada

Splendid via ferrata that follows the north-west ridge of the Marmolada with a magnificent arrival at Punta Penia. Descent to the glacier therefore you need crampons, ice ax and rope as well as the via ferrata set. Physically demanding route considering the difference in height and stretches on snow or ice, but when you arrive in sight of Capanna Punta Penia everything passes! ATTENTION to evaluate any variables that could modify the situation of the track.
