The Palafavera Refuge is located in the eponymous village in the municipality of Val di Zoldo, along the SP 251 provincial road, at the foot of the slopes of the Ski Civetta area. With a simple mountain atmosphere, it offers double, twin, triple, and one quadruple room. All rooms have private bathrooms, some have balconies, others overlook the slopes. The facility includes a restaurant, bar, and panoramic terrace, as well as ski storage and rental. Located in the municipality of Selva di Cadore, Malga Fontanafreda is situated at 1,768 meters above sea level, in an area historically used for cattle grazing. Its easy accessibility and scenic beauty make this area particularly popular with both tourists and residents for walks or Sunday outings. Owned by the Magnifica Regola Selva di Cadore e Pescul and managed by the De Nardin family, during the summer (mid-June to mid-September), it offers catering and retail outlets for its own products, such as cow's and goat's milk cheeses of various ages, ricotta, yogurt, and, above all, its famous Formai Schiz. It boasts approximately 60 hectares of south-facing pastureland, spread between 1,450 and 2,000 meters above sea level.
