An enchanting valley with a spectacular view of the Pale Di San Martino

The view that opens up from Malga Venegiota is a breathtaking spectacle framed by the Dolomites. Situated at the foot of the majestic Pale di San Martino group, the view embraces green meadows and vast pastures dotted with wild flowers in summer, while the rocky peaks stand out against a clear, blue sky. On clear days, the peaks almost seem to touch the clouds, creating a fascinating contrast with the valley below. The landscape, wrapped in a regenerating quiet, invites you to slow down and contemplate the majesty of the surrounding nature.

It is located in the upper part of Val Venegia, on the edge of a very green valley. A postcard place. It can be reached on foot or by mountain bike.

With its 3,343 meters of altitude, Punta Penia is the highest peak of the Marmolada and of all the Dolomites. Climbed for the first time in 1864 by the Viennese Paul Grohmann, pioneer of mountaineering, with the Ampezzo guides Angelo and Fulgenzio Dimai. On the summit there is a small refuge, perfect for those who want to find refreshment and a roof over their heads: the Capanna Punta Penia, managed for years by Carlo Budel.

The Contrin refuge is at the foot of the impressive Mount Marmolada, at the top of the homonymous "Val Contrin", in Canazei, Val di Fassa at the foot of the Marmolada Group, with several peaks over 3,000 meters that highlight its presence, including the Great Vernel , Piccolo Vernel, Top Ombretta or the Sasso Vernale. It is one of the most spacious shelters for beds in the Fassane Dolomites, its panorama covers 360° on the Marmolada and Sassolungo Groups, also part of the UNESCO World Heritage, so much to be mentioned in numerous international magazines and publications.
