Long but beautiful mule track carved out of the rock

A long military road, about 9 km long, with an elevation gain of about 900 meters, it connects the Croce d'Aune Pass with the Dal Piaz refuge. It has a moderate gradient and can be ridden by mountain bike. Some technique is required as it is very rocky and exposed in some sections. Its width, however, provides a sense of calm. Be careful not to overspeed on the descent; the descent puts considerable strain on your arms. Numerous trails lead from the Dal Piaz refuge to the valleys and peaks of the Feltrine Alps.

From the mountainside to the east there are wonderful views of the old town of Feltre, which lies opposite on the Capre hill.

City of medieval origins, Pedavena is known for the production of beer. From here it is possible to set off on foot to reach the Croce d'Aune pass along the Alta Via 2 of the Dolomites.

Col Melon with its 1054 m above sea level is a very popular peak for cyclists, where the Giro also passes. The breathtaking views are an excellent distraction from the effort of the climb.

You ride immersed in the woods in a surreal atmosphere. Here peace reigns supreme and you can enjoy the scents, colors and sounds of the forest.

The long via delle dolomiti is an "Interreg II" route which from the Cima Banche pass (on the border between Pusteria and Belluno) arrives in Primolano along the Valbelluna in the foothills, on the right. Piave, skirting the borders of the Belluno Dolomites Park; in Pedavena , the signage with its own name begins, up to Primolano, thus joining Valbelluna and Feltrino in particular with Valsugana, interfacing with the Brenta cycle path.
