In ancient times, many peasant families used to spend the summer on Alpe Vederna for haymaking and tending the fields. So in 1941 they began to think of building a small place of worship by collecting contributions for this project. In the month of May 1942, 4,222 lire were ready, but with the advent of war it was not possible to proceed. At the end of the conflict the work was resumed and the designer also changed. The work was entrusted to Albino Doff Sotta and the church was built with the participation of the community. On 5 September 1948 the chapel was inaugurated with a solemn celebration and dedicated to the Madonna della Neve. The beautiful mosaic above the outer door of the church with the image of the Virgin was created in 1964.
