Wonderful medieval crenellated tower, in the Estense castle of Arquà Polesine. It is the most important and best preserved medieval complex in Polesine.

The two towers of Rovigo, the larger is the Torre Donà, the smaller the Torre Grimani, both heavily listed, are the remains of a castle and still one of the symbols of the city.

Rovigo is a city often ignored by the tourist flow that aims towards the most famous cities in the Veneto. You can walk through the elegant center and stop in the two Roverella and Roncale buildings where original art exhibitions are held. A few steps from the main square there is the museum of the great rivers which tells the story of the development of the civilizations of this area.

Torre Donà and Torre Grimani are evident remains of the medieval history of Rovigo, once in fact they were part of the fortress built in 920.

The castle of Arquà Polesine, commonly called Castello Estense, was built in 1146. The castle has medieval architecture and of particular interest is the 26.10 meter high tower.
