The simply crafted wooden railing surrounding this memorial cross creates a small "sacred precinct" around the small sacred monument. The cross itself, also made of wood, lacks a corpus or INRI plaque, but is covered with a protective gable roof. The crossbeam bears the inscription "Bull's Cross" and the year "2005." Attached to the longitudinal beam, just below the crossing, is an information panel with an image and inscription explaining the purpose of this cross—the commemoration of Anton Schachner, who died in 1828.

A key feature of the "Cristo Rei" depictions - which this statue will inevitably remind every viewer of - is that Jesus is not shown on the cross or as the crucified one (although the outstretched arms suggest this from a distance), but Christ is the king, the victor over sin and death, who has overcome all the suffering in the world. It is the outstretched arms of the lovingly drawing Christ with which he embraces the land and the people living in it in blessing.
