At the hut, you can enjoy good, traditional dishes at really fair prices. In good weather, you can enjoy the view of the lake from the terrace. If the weather is bad, there's plenty of space inside, too.

Rifugio Jean Barmasse, at 2,169 meters above sea level in Valtournenche, is a welcoming refuge that welcomes hikers looking for tranquility and breathtaking views. Great place to enjoy some lovely food/beverages with magnificent and iconic views. The route leading up to the Hörnlihütte can be challenging if it is icy, so be prepared with the right equipment in any case.

Challenging terrain, especially if it is wet/icy, but the Hörnlihütte is a great reward for mastering the terrain :)
