It is the lounge square in the center of Sassari, large, elegant, bright, overlooked by important buildings such as the majestic Palazzo della Provincia and, opposite, the "Intesa San Paolo" bank in neo-Gothic style; in the center stands a monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, until recently surrounded by 4 palm trees. It is accessed by descending from the beautiful Via Roma, shaded by citrus trees, while continuing downhill on the opposite side, through a short arcaded street, you enter the adjacent Piazza Castello. Piazza d'Italia is a favorite destination for shopping, family walks and some local events.

Unfortunately, the church itself cannot be visited from the inside. But the view of the landscape is just great!

The walk from Osilo to the church is definitely worth it. Unfortunately it is closed and can only be admired from the outside. A nice round trip and a magnificent view up there. We were lucky and got drinks in the refugio just before the summit, since it's actually closed now in the off-season.

A short, but interesting route, suitable, however, only for hiking or mountain biking. I knew there were winding paths and climbs. Instead I found a single track ruined by landslides, branches, roots or stony ground: with difficulty I had to push or carry the bike on my back on a climb of over a km, with steep sections. The length of the route is almost two km and the difference in height is about 120 meters. The start is from the Eba Giara-Filigheddu local road; turn right towards Eba Giara-Luna e Sole, on a fair road surface, which however ends after 500 m. near a house. From here begins a path in increasingly worse conditions, which climbs in a zig-zag way towards the heights of Filigheddu, surrounded by dense vegetation. On the ground, in addition to stones and leaves, I noticed some mushrooms and various footprints or holes dug by wild boars, which in this area are becoming a real emergency.
