Bridge over the Clyde for pedestrians and two-wheelers

Bell's Bridge is, for me, the most beautiful and interesting pedestrian and bicycle bridge... simply an architectural masterpiece... unfortunately, we didn't see the bridge being swung open to allow boat passage.

Path along top of Loch Goin dam likely to be closed (March 2025) due to maintenance work, we got through but barrier may be locked.

Stunning, easy to lose your bearings

The Orion Bridge in Cambuslang was built to connect Cambuslang to Tollcross. It was designed by Crouch and Hogg and features steel lattice trusses supported by masonry piers. It was initially linked to the nearby Clydebridge Steel Works. Though bypassed in the 1970s due to increasing traffic loads, it still serves local traffic today.

Nearly every week - Year round - So many options, hardly every 🚴 the exact same route twice !. TIP - One Wind Turbine looks like the rest - Pick up a Map !. Either at the Visitor Centre ( good 🥣🫖☕️🍰🥪👍) or at the Display Board @ Blde Display. Other options utilise the Ardochrig entrance/exit for EK/ Strathaven/ The Heron 🥣🍴☕️🫖🍰

Rouken Glen Park was originally owned by the Scottish Crown. It takes its name from the old Rock End Meal Mill, from the 16th century. Eventually, the estate and mansions were gifted to the citizens of Glasgow in 1906. The park retains many of the Edwardian city park features such as the boating pond, a sculpted waterfall and walled garden.
