The Orion Bridge in Cambuslang was built to connect Cambuslang to Tollcross. It was designed by Crouch and Hogg and features steel lattice trusses supported by masonry piers. It was initially linked to the nearby Clydebridge Steel Works. Though bypassed in the 1970s due to increasing traffic loads, it still serves local traffic today.

Rouken Glen Park was originally owned by the Scottish Crown. It takes its name from the old Rock End Meal Mill, from the 16th century. Eventually, the estate and mansions were gifted to the citizens of Glasgow in 1906. The park retains many of the Edwardian city park features such as the boating pond, a sculpted waterfall and walled garden.

Strathclyde Loch is set within Strathclyde Country Park, an internationally renowned Watersports area. A 4-mile (6km) trail loops the loch.

Now closed, the viaduct used to carry trains from Stonehouse in to Larkhall. Reportedly it was the highest railway viaduct in Britain when constructed. Plans are suggested periodically to re-open it to cyclists and pedestrians.
