12월 10, 2024, Spinello Village and Cyclist Monument
From the center of Civitella di Romagna begins the 'terrible' climb of Monte delle Ruote. Just under 3 km (2,791 meters indicates a plaque on the Sulparo pass) with an average gradient of 13.3% and peaks of 22%, they overcome a difference in altitude of 370 meters. On the Monte delle Ruote there is a monument to the cyclist and a significant plaque that reads: 'Beautiful and impossible of Romagna - Like a lover, first I fascinate you, then I hate you, finally I love you'.

10월 27, 2024, Sarsina
The history of Sarsina begins with a settlement of the Umbrians on the Savio in the fourth century BC. With the influence of Rome, the city became an ally of the city on the Tiber in 266 BC. With the stationing of troops, the city, known as Sassina, continued to grow in importance until it was destroyed at the end of the third century AD, probably by barbarians. The first bishop of the city, Vizinius, was also named at the end of the third century. The diocese continued to exist until 1986, when it was merged with the diocese of Cesena to form the diocese of Cesena-Sarsina.

9월 8, 2024, Cattedrale di San Vicinio (Sarsina)
What to see in Sarsina We start from the Mausoleum of Obulacco, a funerary monument from the Roman era (1st century BC) located right at the entrance to the village. We continue with the elusive House of Plautus, the remains of the ancient Roman Forum and then look out over the collections of the National Archaeological Museum. The life of the small town revolves around Piazza Plauto, where at dusk the community gathers between taverns and shops. Right on this, once the center of the Roman town, stands the ancient co-cathedral of San Vicinio, perhaps built in the Byzantine era but which today shows itself in what are its Romanesque forms (11th century). Inside the place of worship are kept the mortal remains of Bishop Vinicio, but above all his infamous iron collar, which he once used to tie around his neck to pray to God and drive away evil. Thanks to this relic, every year the church is the destination of many faithful who come to take part in the blessing ritual and have the object placed around their neck to ward off bad luck. For some, an act of purification, for others simply an act of superstition. Next to the basilica, the Archbishop's Palace is also worth a visit, which houses its museum with some valuable works. 9월 8, 2024, Cattedrale di San Vicinio (Sarsina)
Founded by the Romans on a previous Umbrian settlement, Sarsina is famous for being the birthplace of the great playwright Titus Maccius Plautus (254 BC), in whose honor the Plautus Festival is organized every summer. But Sarsina is also, and above all, a destination for numerous faithful who flock here from all over Italy because of the legend of the collar of San Vicinio, preserved inside the city cathedral. Precisely in light of these elements and the numerous attractions that the village offers, it was recently awarded the prestigious title of Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club. 8월 25, 2024, View of Passo dei Mandrioli

In front of the Camaldoli hermitage, after having filled the water bottle with very fresh water and admired the work of art on the portal of the same, you have 2 possibilities; to the left you go towards Prato alle Cogne, to the right you go towards Prato alla Penna (asphalt) and then Badia Prataglia via a dirt road (wide) for a few km that can also be traveled with a racing bike being careful, then you return on asphalt always downhill to Badia Prataglia.

Very nice climb, 660m of altitude difference quite regular. However, I would like to point out that there is a sign prohibiting bicycles at the beginning and at the end going up from Bagno. I did it anyway but know that theoretically it is forbidden to bikes.

2월 21, 2024, Eremo di Camaldoli
The hermitage of Camaldoli was founded around 1025 AD by the hermit friar Romualdo, today San Romualdo. At the beginning the structure had five cells for hermits and a church for common prayer. Today there are twenty cells and the most "recent" dates back to 1743. Over the centuries, other common structures have been built: the refectory, the library and the guesthouse. All the cells are built following the model of the first cell of San Romualdo, still visible although incorporated by the library: it is a small house with a garden surrounded by walls. The internal spaces of the hermitage can only be visited during guided tours; the timetables can be found on the Camaldoli community website.

1월 24, 2024, Cattedrale di San Vicinio (Sarsina)
The Cathedral of Sarsina, of imposing size, attracts visitors with its sober and elegant facade. Although the year of construction is uncertain, many scholars suggest a period around the year 1000. The Romanesque style of the structure is evident in the different shades of the bricks, evidence of changes made over the centuries.
