It is one of the most panoramic points of the Sibillini, on the top of a vast plateau that preserves the most beautiful Renaissance sanctuary in the Region. Looking from the pass towards Macereto, the waters that flow to the right end up in the Adriatic, those to the left in the Nera and then in the Tiber and then in the distant Tyrrhenian Sea.

Along the trail there are "pools" or wells formed naturally by erosion of the small waterfalls above. To protect them, bathing is prohibited... although it is very inviting I must say. Easy and flat trail. Well maintained place.

Simple and pleasant path that allows you to walk along the stream/river. There is also a short but relaxing sensory path

The path along the Sant'Angelo stream, not far from Pieve Torina, winds through woods and meadows following the course of the stream, with small waterfalls and suggestive views of the surrounding mountains.

As of April ‘24, the sanctuary is being reconstructed (damage from the 2016 earthquakes). It’s still a great place to rest, but there’s no water available

The landscape of Monte Rotondo (1,379 metres) recalls the wide grassy plains of Central Asia. In the Sibillini area there are three peaks with the name Monte Rotondo. The other two are located further south and are decidedly higher. Croce di monte Rotondo has an altitude of 1,900 meters while monte Rotondo 2,100.
