블라이허로데–헤르츠베르크 철도 노선은 41km 길이의 단선 비전철 보조 노선으로, 동부 아이히스펠트와 오름게비르게 지역을 연결했습니다. 이 노선은 블라이허로데 근처의 할레–한.뮌덴 철도 노선과 헤르츠베르크 암 하르츠의 쥐트하르츠슈트레케 노선을 연결했습니다. 주로 비쇼퍼로데의 여러 전직 염분 광산과 루음슈프링게의 전직 갈탄 발전소로 향하는 화물 운송에 사용되었습니다. 니더작센 주 측에서는 이 노선이 거의 완전히 자전거 도로로 개조되었습니다. 그러나 루음슈프링게 구간은 두 개의 다리가 이전에 철거되었기 때문에 누락되었고, 힐커로데 정류장과 칭게 역 사이의 구간은 평행한 농로 때문에 개조되지 않았습니다. 출처: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahnstrecke_Bleicherode%E2%80%93Herzberg

대부분의 다리는 자전거 도로로 이용될 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 자전거 이용자와 보행자에게 경사가 완만한 녹색 길이 제공됩니다. Rhumspringe에서만 공식 경로가 마을을 통과합니다. 이 구간에서 가장 아름답지만 개발되지 않은 육교는 좌측으로 남겨집니다.

Smoothly paved by autumn 2025 – after decades of potholed and rough surfaces, it's finally a pleasure to cycle on this quiet side road. The southern section is called Eiskeller (Ice Cellar) because it's always a bit colder there – and a bit more icy in winter.

Not much of the castle has been preserved, but the tower stump is well lit in the evenings and can be seen from far above the district.

Highly recommended...delicious cake, just right for the climb to the dam and further to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

The old castle on the mountain spur between the Sösetal and Lerbachtal secured the ascent into the Harz Mountains. By 1100 AD, Osterode was already a "flourishing place". We can see this from the chronicle of the St. Peter's Monastery in Erfurt, which mentions the destruction of the "villa opulentissima" in the dispute between Henry the Lion and Margrave Albert the Bear in 1152. The castle was already standing at this time, and the remains of it remain one of the town's landmarks. It protected the first market settlement, which existed safely from the unpredictable Söse River, on the hill of today's Rollberg. Until 1486, the castle was the widow's residence of Duchess ELISABETH of Brunswick-Grubenhagen. In 1512, the castle was no longer inhabited; it was probably abandoned due to the threat of collapse as a result of the building ground giving way. With its 3.5-meter-thick walls, it had five floors. The preserved half-cylinder of the Romanesque residential tower, with a lower diameter of approx. 15 m and a remaining height of approx. 35 m, is one of the largest keep castles in Central Europe. Only a small part of the keep of the Old Castle has been preserved, and only the foundation walls of the other castle buildings. Unfortunately, this beautiful path towards Breitenworbis is currently closed (July 25, 2024). The diversion is signposted, but has a barrier (!) on the descent and then actually continues on the bypass road that the cycle path should actually avoid. This is only for the fearless!🤯
