Also known as the Torre dei Tempi, it is a historic tower in Macerata located in Piazza della Libertà.

In the immediate vicinity of Appignano, many of the fields around the small town are full of sunflowers, so during the summer the flowers bloom and this whole picture is enriched with large splashes of yellow.

Positioned in the valley of the Monocchia stream, exactly halfway between the sea and the mountains, Appignano has a well-preserved medieval centre, still embraced by the ancient city walls, surmounted by a cusped bell tower dating back to the fifteenth century.
