One of the most beautiful sacred places in the Marche. An abbey nestled in the rocks near the Grotta d'Eustachio. The mastery of sculpting the stone is still clearly visible. How much hidden beauty! Absolutely to be restored and preserved. But also in its current state to be admired and with the imagination to be transported to the times of its glory.

Monte Faldobono, with its summit at almost 1300 meters above sea level, offers an easily accessible ridge that offers a panoramic view over much of the eastern region to the sea, making it the ideal place to watch the sunrise in a unique setting. From here you can enjoy a splendid view of Monte San Vicino, the meadows of San Vicino and the cave of San Francesco.

It is useful to know that the Gola di S. Eustachio is a SCI (Site of Community Importance), and is also located within the SPA (Special Protection Area) Gola di Sant'Eustacchio, Monte d'Aria and Monte Letegge.

In the past this was dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. Later, in the 18th century, it was assigned to the Augustinians instead. Currently the church is closed due to seismic events in 2016.

Elcito is a very nice town. You can leave from Calfaito, get to Elcito and eat a sandwich at the Ristoro.
