The Tower of San Giovanni is a magnificent Saracen tower overlooking the sea. The tower itself is similar to many others in Sardinia. It's a great vantage point for taking pictures. If you look carefully to the right, you can see the Tower of Santa Lucia in the distance, while on the left it is easy to spot the Tower of the Castello della Fava di Posada. In the past, these towers were used to spot enemy ships, especially pirates, and raise the alarm. Some of these towers are on top of the cliffs and it takes a bit of walking to get there, but this one is very easy to reach.

Surrounded by cliffs and mountains, Ulassai, located at an altitude of 800 meters, is a paradise for climbers and lovers of outdoor activities.

Difficult to find a place to pitch in this area. This olive grove offers a decent place to pitch for the night. Please set up your tent late, pack up early and leave no trace.
