The Lochmühle is an idyllic gem by the roadside – nestled in nature and brimming with historic charm. It evokes the craftsmanship of old times and invites you to pause for a moment, enjoy the atmosphere, and perhaps take a photo. A piece of history in the heart of the landscape.

The tunnel on the Murg Valley Trail between Hottingen and Murg is a real highlight: mysterious, cool on hot days, and with a special atmosphere. It adds variety to the tour and turns the trail into a mini-adventure—perfect for photos and a short break in the shade.

The Upper Gate in Waldshut-Tiengen is an impressive historic city gate dating back to the 13th century. From here, you have a magnificent view of the city and the Rhine. The gate is located directly on Kaiserstraße and is easily accessible by bike.

The Ödland Chapel is a true gem in the Hotzenwald Forest and boasts a rich history. At the end of the 18th century, the farmers of Bergaling built a small chapel here in gratitude after their village was spared from the rinderpest epidemic. Following a fire in 1897, the current stone pilgrimage chapel, dedicated to the Holy Cross, was built. A particularly atmospheric feature: every year on the first Sunday in September, a pilgrimage service brings life to this special place.
