Monastero Bormida 성은 방어 시설로 지어진 것이 아니라 베네딕토회 수도원으로, 1050년경 사라센족의 습격으로 황폐해진 땅을 개간하기 위해 알레라미치 후작들이 초청한 프루투아리아 수도원의 수도사들에 의해 설립되었습니다. 오늘날에도 볼 수 있는 27미터 높이의 탑은 원래 종탑이었으며, 남쪽 탑에서 몇 미터 떨어진 곳을 흐르는 강은 건물의 비군사적 성격을 증명합니다. 1393년에 베네딕토회 수도사들이 수도원을 떠나면서 봉건 시대가 시작되었습니다. 봉토는 델 카레토 후작들에게 넘어갔고, 그들은 15세기에 최초의 방어 시설을 추가하여 성으로 개조했습니다. 이 건물은 내부 안뜰을 가진 사각형 구조로, 여러 면에 탑으로 보호되며 이전 종탑과 작은 현수교로 연결되어 있습니다. 남쪽 정면에는 돌기둥이 있는 두 개의 아치형 르네상스식 로지아가 보입니다. 내부의 메인 층에 있는 방들—17세기에 개조됨—은 모자이크 바닥과 꽃과 기하학적 문양의 프레스코화가 있는 돛 모양과 교차형 볼트를 보존하고 있습니다. 이후 성은 델라 로베레 가문으로, 그 다음에는 제노바의 폴레리 가문으로 넘어갔으며, 마침내 1880년부터 시의 소유가 되었습니다. 오늘날 방문이 가능하며 지역 순환 프로그램 "Castelli Aperti"에 포함되어 있습니다.

To discover its origins, we must step back in time to the Middle Ages, a period when Alice Bel Colle was a possession of the Counts of Acquesana, later passing under the rule of the Gonzaga family of Mantua, and finally to the House of Savoy. The smallness that distinguishes Alice Bel Colle, however, does not detract from its beauty and uniqueness. Indeed, despite being a small village of 700 inhabitants, it holds a veritable treasure trove of history, culture, and traditions. Examples include the Museum of Contemporary Art, which houses interesting works by renowned artists, the Parish of San Giovanni Battista, and the Church of the Madonna della Fraschetta, which not only serves as a place of worship but is also a focal point during local festivals and demonstrates a strong connection with its inhabitants. Among the culinary traditions, we find the ever-present amaretti biscuits; as for wine, however, there are renowned wines such as Brachetto, Infernotto Barolo, and Moscato.
