Also known by the name of "Piazza delle Banca", Piazza Umberto I hosts the Town Hall and usually also the village festival called Cena sotto le stelle.

Known as the "curves of the lake" due to the presence of a lake where the municipal swimming pool now stands, Via Brigate Garibaldine leads from the ring road directly to the center of Costigliole d'Asti, with a detour to the Rocca or towards Via Roma, the backbone of the town.

The northern part of the manor, pertaining to the Asinari, retains the appearance derived from the interventions of the second half of the eighteenth century, duly inspired by the architectural canons propagated by Benedetto Alfieri. At the same time, the external aspect of the southern part, pertaining to the Verasis, constitutes an interesting example of neo-medieval stylistic re-proposition, dating back to the first decades of the 19th century.

Castagnole delle Lanze, a place between the Langhe and Monferrato hills, in the province of Asti and not far from Alba, takes its name from "castinea", which means "small chestnut" in Latin, and from the Lancia family, who owned the territories between 1190 and 1206.
