Great path to stroll under the pillars and the lovely shade along the shopping mile. Very beautiful architecture to look at.

Since the 16th century, Nice has been referred to as Nicea Palearum or of the Straw, thanks to the roofs of the houses that were built with woven straw and grasses. These materials were present in the marshy soils of the place of origin, located at the confluence of the Nizza and Belbo streams. Today, in the Piedmontese dialect, it is still popularly called Nissa dla Paja. In some old houses it is still possible to find false ceilings made following that method.
