For seven centuries the castle has dominated the Guarene hill.

Near the more famous Alba and Barbaresco, Guarene offers a great view of the surrounding Roero hills. This area of the north-eastern province of Cuneo boasts many of the most beautiful villages in Italy and an enviable wine production.

Castellinaldo is an Italian town located in the province of Cuneo. The town is located on top of a hill and is distinguished by the massive castle that dominates the valley. In Roman times, Castellinaldo was an important station along a road. Today, the municipality is part of the delimitation of the Langhe and Roero. Castellinaldo offers a picturesque and charming atmosphere, with breathtaking views and a rich history to discover.

In the middle of the hairpin bends that descend towards Castellinaldo you come across this beautiful chapel dedicated to 3 saints. The road is Provincial 176, the hairpin bends that are found are not at all impossible to do and in the background, in addition to the trees (in the photo) you can see the majestic Aynaldi castle.
