Anyone traveling 1.2 kilometers west from Unterschurbach into the forest near Hundslohe will come across a remarkable natural monument: the "Wackelstein" (rocking stone), also known as the "Edelmannstein" (nobleman's stone). According to a statement from the Fichtelgebirge Association (FGV) Ebnath, the noblemen of Ebnath and Schwarzenreuth hid their treasures here to protect them from the plundering Hussites. The legend of the "Deep Well," where the treasure chests are said to still rest, persists to this day. The Wartinger company contributed a stainless steel anchor for securing the rock in the ground, and the Plannerer company donated a cover to protect it from rain. Trail warden Gerd König also installed two signs indicating the nearest destinations.
