Located in the southern Chiemgau region on the border with Tyrol, Reit im Winkl is a renowned climatic health resort and a popular destination for nature lovers and active holidaymakers. Surrounded by the Chiemgau Alps, the town offers numerous recreational opportunities throughout the year – cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and winter hiking in winter, and hiking, biking, and mountaineering in summer. Reit im Winkl is also known for its well-maintained hiking trails, including several premium trails, as well as its vibrant Bavarian traditions and hospitality. The townscape is characterized by traditional houses, flower-filled balconies, and an impressive Alpine panorama.
