Villa Wachtler was built in 1911 on the initiative of master confectioner Michael Wachtler and was designed as an Alpine Art Nouveau palace. It is one of the most striking buildings in the Dolomites region and is a listed building due to its exceptional architecture.

A long climb that isn't particularly difficult. Quite a bit of traffic.

The entire Defereggen Valley and the climb to the Staller Sattel are stunningly scenic, but others think so too, often with loud engines.

Amazing and mostly well-paved path with some compact gravel segments, which were perfectly rideable on a road bike.

The Furcia Pass connects the Pusteria Valley with San Vigilio di Marebbe in the Badia Valley. The road from Valdaora is about 10 kilometers long with a difference in altitude of 750 meters. It is a challenging climb with particularly steep ramps in the last kilometers after the village of Sorafurcia.
