First stretch of the very scenic road that connects Bosa to Montresta

A town of about 2,500 inhabitants in the province of Oristano, Cuglieri stands on the ruins of the Phoenician-Punic city of Cornus and is today well known for the production of high quality olive oil. Of particular beauty in the municipal territory is the Cabu Nieddu waterfall, at the end of which the water ends up directly in the sea.

Also known as Monte Agudu, it rises imposingly reaching almost 900m in altitude. On the summit there are the remains of a probable late-Nuragic sanctuary

The San Leonardo Park in Siete Fuentes is rich in vegetation including oak, holm oak and elm trees. Inside the park there are historical springs. It is an ideal place to stop and taste some Sardinian specialties at the various refreshment points.

This panoramic road offers a splendid view of the Cuglieri village and the Malvasia vineyard area.

The patronage of Saint Leonhard (San LEONARDO) in the town of San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes refers to the farming tradition of this area. Among the many "responsibilities" of the saints, for which they are then invoked as patron saints, Saint Leonhard is initially for those who are "in chains", and later in the 18th century mainly for livestock. In many places where he is venerated, the Leonhardis ride, a procession on horseback, is a tradition. So it is probably no coincidence that the most important horse show in Sardinia is held here. San Leonardo's memorial day in the saints' calendar is November 6th.
