The tour is worthwhile; the views of the landscape are beautiful, but you should check the route carefully on Komoot beforehand. The trails marked as dangerous are in places like scrambling on rocky ground, and we had to carefully consider where to go and how to proceed. Good basic fitness, strength, flexibility, and appropriate equipment are essential. Weather conditions should also be checked beforehand; windy and wet conditions are no match for the weather.

The tour was a lot of fun, but it's really quite challenging. In some places, you have to be careful not to fall. I would only recommend this tour to experienced hikers.

Going up to Montecatini Alto with the funicular is a beautiful experience, however from this point begins "the short one", the historic climb on foot along the Via Crucis

The Ferriere suspension bridge in San Marcello Pistoiese is a tourist attraction located in the valley of the Lima stream, in the province of Pistoia, in Tuscany. The bridge, built in the 19th century, is characterized by a suspended structure that crosses the valley offering a breathtaking panoramic view. The bridge has an interesting history: it was originally used to allow local ironworks workers to cross the Lima stream to reach their workplace. Over the years, it has become an icon of the area and a popular tourist attraction. The bridge has been restored and maintained over the years to ensure its safety and accessibility to visitors.

Unfortunately, the villa is currently closed. Most recently it housed a fire department museum. Despite its state of disrepair, the villa looks very impressive.

Cozzile was probably founded at the end of the 12th century around fortification works with lookout and extreme defense functions. Even at the beginning of the 14th century they housed a castellan and a small garrison on behalf of the people of Lucca. Around the fortress a fortified town arose with a structure similar to that of Massa, organized in a "fishbone" pattern on both sides of the road that crossed it and which, exiting at the other end of the town, led towards the Apennines and towards Modena. The houses were grouped into two neighborhoods or "deeds" (Volata to the East, and Cessana to the West of the main road) with the square located to the north and the church to the south. In the city walls, of which important remains are still visible incorporated into the houses built above them, three doors opened: one to the east, corresponding to the entrance to the town of the medieval road from Massa (gate to Massa), one to the west , on the diametrically opposite side (Porta Vecchia)
