In the heart of the Tuscan Chianti region, between Grassina and Strada in Chianti, in the center of a flowerbed stands the Statue of the Sower, commissioned and financed by the locals to remind us that this area is not only renowned for its winemaking, but has always been a major grain producer.

A lovely town in Tuscany. Bar Italia is a great place for aperativo, and La Loggetina is a great place for pizza. Some cobbles and a few climbs into the town itself, but worth a visit.

Greve in Chianti

Between San Casciano in Val di Pesa and its hamlet Spedaletto, about 300 inhabitants along the ancient Via Cassia, along this splendid road you can enjoy some typical views of the Tuscan countryside, including some notable private villas. The vineyards you find here are almost all dedicated to the production of Chianti Classico.

The Municipality of Impruneta, in the province of Florence, is one of the "gates" to Chianti. Famous for its terracottas, it also has notable artistic testimonies. The square is beautiful, where, in addition to the Town Hall, there is the Sanctuary of Santa Maria (basilica) which, among other things, houses beautiful glazed terracottas by Luca della Robbia.
