Lake Piano is a splendid small lake located in Val Menaggio between the foothills of Mount Calbiga to the south and Val Cavargna to the north. The surface of the lake is partially covered by white and yellow water lilies while the area of the reserve is populated by several mammals (deer, fawns) all well documented in the small house in the park located right at the head of the lake in the direction of Porlezza.

Beautiful, quiet campsite right on the lake. Good starting point for hikes or MTB. Haven't had any experience with the RR yet. Located between Lake Como and Lake Lugano. Highly recommended is the mountain tour to Monte Grona, from the summit of which you can see Lake Como and Lake Lugano, with Lago di Piano embedded in between!!!

I have a colleague who walks barefoot in summer and winter. If he steps on broken glass, he doesn't even notice it. I would strongly recommend everyone who knitted differently to wear sturdy shoes (ankle-high!). The path is beautiful, but partly through hardly paved paths. No beer available on the route!😫😥
